Everyone is on Free during the preview. Paid plans and the Creator Program switch on once Tweechat opens to everyone.
The Creator Program
Free to join, once you qualify. Chatters with real, consistent engagement and a clean record can apply to earn a share of Tweechat's revenue, tied to genuine engagement on their chats, not follower counts, so the incentive stays on good chats.
- 1Chat consistently and build real engagement: replies, views, and reach that add up over time.
- 2Keep a clean record, with no upheld reports on your chats.
- 3Apply, and the Tweechat team reviews your account by hand before turning on earnings.

What are the house rules?
No adult content, no exceptions. Pornographic or sexual posts come down and the account goes with them.
No bullying, harassment, hate, or threats. Disagree all you like, but keep it about the idea, not the person.
No spam or scams.
Be honest. A reply flagged as a false claim gets a fact-check label. A False rating is a strike.
One confirmed problem is a warning. A second suspends the account pending appeal.
What's Tweechat?
A place for quick chats with friends and neighbors. Posts are short (260 characters), and everything's built to be easy to follow: threads, Local chats from your state, and chats from everywhere.
Why was my link blocked?
General web links aren't allowed in chats or replies, to keep the site safe. A direct link to a photo or video (ending in .jpg, .png, .gif, .webp, .mp4 and so on) is the one exception. That attaches as media instead of getting blocked.
What does the stop-sign icon do?
It reports a chat or reply to the Tweechat team. While it's under review, other people see it blurred with a notice. You can take your report back any time before the review finishes. Once reviewed, it can't be reported again.
What's the fact-check badge on some chats?
When a reported chat makes a factual claim, the Tweechat team rates it True, Mostly True, Half True, Mostly False, or False, and shows the rating as a small badge instead of hiding it, so the context stays visible to everyone. Only a False rating counts as a strike. The other ratings are information, not a penalty.
What's the difference between the tea and upside-down tea icons?
Tea (right-side up) means it's your cup of tea: you like it. The same cup upside-down means it's not your cup of tea. Picking one clears the other. Tap it again to take it back.
What's an echo?
Echoing a chat passes it along. The Most shared tab ranks chats by how many people echoed them.
What's Local?
Chats from chatters in one U.S. state at a time, picked from the dropdown. Set your state on your Profile so your chats show up in your state's Local feed.
